If you're still in the market, this is not a bad deal for $800. Take the extra hundo from the costco PC and swap the video card to the 1660 TI, and you should have a desktop perfectly capable of 1080p gaming at reasonable settings, or save the hundred bucks and upgrade in a few months when last-gen video cards show up on the aftermarket, pushed out by the RTX30XX's. If your kid is patient, that will get you far and away the best bank for your buck.
