I’m not sure about a table top game for unification wars but I bet a Board game like risk Would be very popular
I doubt GW would make a mobile game full of in app purchases

Hmmmmmmm, you must not be aware of GW's seeming willingness to grant a license to just about any developer that knocks on their door.

Even board games, and Risk - I thought to myself for a second, why would GW allow the competition in its own business sector? Then I remembered a few things.

I was being a tad sarcastic about the apps

I didn’t know that other crap existed though. As if GW doesn’t get enough of our money from the actual game’s. I’ve never been one for paraphernalia and I’m not sure who the target audience is for this stuff. The Bandai toys they are releasing are my biggest nightmare

or GW could even release a RPG of it.

Problem is everyone knows the story, who would you play in an RPG? The emperor himself? I suppose if GW were willing to commit to the idea that Emps was one of many eternals until the end of the The unification wars when he goes to molec and achieves apotheosis. That’s would be a cool end to the game

An RPG typically focuses more on the microscale. sure we know that EVENTUALLY a guy named the emperor unifies the earthbut Imagine a game where you're just a half dozen people wandering about, trying to survive, maybe find rare arcanotech weapons, etc. maybe the emperor is around, but he's just some warlord, heck maybe your entire adventuring party are just people on the Payroll of Malcadore and you're slinking around in ruins and hazerdous areas to recover priceless bits of history

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

It’s not really the unification wars then, it’s more just an RPG set pre unification.

I always thought a 40K FPS game like battlefield would be good but pre unification earth would also work because at the minute what we know is it’s a total cyberpunk festival of crazyness so the right developer could make something really different and cool

This sounds a bit like the set up for Gorkamorka, but with humans... given they've embraced their past a bit with Adeptus Titanicus and Aeronitica Imperialus, maybe this is a possibility? Pull out the rules, repackage them, rerelease them with some Forge World resin figures..

I want to see some follow-up to some of the 8th's big storylines. What was the aftermath of the Plague Wars and the infighting within the Nurgle forces that followed? What will happen to Vigilus now that it is a complete wreck?

I'm pretty sure the war simply continues on Vigilus
