The rule is the same in the basic rulebook Matched Play Eternal War Mission Pack (pages 281-282), Narrative Play Crusade Mission Pack (pages 333-334) and the Chapter Approved Grand Tournament 2020 Mission Pack (pages 5-6) under 10. Declare Reserves and Transports. I do not know if this rule is included in the other published mission packs.

Yes. And all of those are mission packs spesific to the missions beeing played in different categories of missions. If it was not for the mission packs your units with innate deep strike could arrive from reserves turn one as it says on their datasheet, as there are no rules preventing it, those rules are in the mission packs. It is worth mentioning the strategic reserve stratagem comes with its own restrictions.


The drop pod spesificly cales out certain rules related to the mission, witch it ignores.
