I'm sure people will take more precautions now however things will get back to normal eventually. Hopefully we end up being more clean in general which will help. Also when we have more and effective treatments for the Cov that will do wonders to keeping it a minor annoyance. Currently we have the vaccines which will help and as more work goes into it more treatments will be used and perfected to hold back those lasting effects of the virus. As well it can always mutate to be less damaging as it works against it to kill or harm adversely the host it gets into, sometimes viruses mutate to be less worrisome and not more.

I'd also say some viruses do end up dying out or just easing into obscurity, like the spanish flu for example. This may just be the biggest thing we will encounter but it could have been a whole lot worse and still may be in the future with a different virus, hopefully just not in my lifetime.

Hello Folks,

According to virologists Corona will remain present in our lives just like other viruses before it. This means you will need to wear a mask for every game as you can't be sure, if your opponent has been vaccinated.

Another problem would be the emergence of new mutant strains which could only be opposed with entirely new vaccines.

So what could GW do? Release more single player missions in WD for 40K? Or try to sell us their very own hazmat suits with a GW logo imprinted on it?

Another fun thing could be a merchandise item in the shape of a grenade. Written upon it will be the following:

CORONA VIRUS GRENADE.

And with that nostalgic memories from 2nd can be experienced again. Your thoughts?

We will adapt. I just got my vaccine and I've already started to return to a normal life, my local store is open again for face to face gaming and we've not had any issues so far.

Hey everyone! Please stay on-topic, the future of table top gaming — and avoid debating epidemiology, virology, public health policy, and politics. Thanks!

I can't see much club gaming/tournaments taking place in the next 6 months, I'm fully planning to have people around my house as soon as we're allowed which I believe will be the main way to play games in the short term future
Our gaming club venue is in a bit of a precarious financial state and so we may also be looking for a new home in the long term, although in fairness this wasn't fully caused by the Covid pandemic.

I've been playing a while, my first model was a lead marine and my first White Dwarf was bound with staples

After playing dozens of games on tabletop simulator over the past 6-months, I'm realizing that there are some major upsides to that platform, and our group has been been having a blast with it.

I'm still playing some in-person games with close family members (my immediate family is "podded" with me nephews family - who I play 40K with), and I see the in-person events being a bit smaller like that.

Well it will take a while to recover I feel. We will still have vulnerable people looking to minimise risk until deaths have largely stopped or case numbers are very low.

Some clubs like the two I attend will be different because members died or have had long term health damage. We have two people who have to live with lung problems now, will they be able to attend like they used to? On the plus side we have some collections to sell off and pick bits out of like vultures!
