GW also have three core advantages over many other busineses.
1) Right now GW is on a financial high, so they've got flexibility to take a hit to their cash flow in the short term and just ride it out
2) Their products aren't perishables and typically have a long shelf life measured in years to decades. Therefore they don't have to sell stuff super fast
3) Their market is generally not going to go elsewhere en-mass.
As a result they can put the brakes on for a few weeks/months and whilst it will impact them, in the long run its a blip rather than a huge disaster. It means they can play things more cautiously/safely and not have to worry. It might also be that there's just elements that make it impossible/impractical to run the warehouse and no matter what else closing down for a short period is just far more sensible for them.
Don't forget it might not just be the warehouse that's impacted, staff getting to and from it; delivery services going to and from it and dozens of other elements.
