I've known Rob Baer when I was a gangly store kid as a teenager - he's a great dude in person. The entire gaming community is in a state of "boycott GW" since I was the same teenager. It's filled forums for years.

In terms of the advertisements? I know nothing about web dev or hosting a large site. I assume its similar to Bell of Lost Souls or any other MSN/News sites. I doubt he makes more money than one of those lore/Lexicanum reading YouTubers.

Hey guys, while it is fine to discuss other gaming sites here, it has to be done in a polite, constructive manner. Even if you think a site is not great or has gone downhill for some reason, that can all still be expressed politely and without hyperbole.

Unfortunately for this thread, the tone of the discussion was soured right from the OP, so this thread needs to be locked.
