I got a pretty big pile of stuff painted and played in six or seven 40k tournaments, which increased my record on tournament participation to six or seven tournaments. Lost horribly, still had fun with it.

Got this chap painted. Only took me about a year and a half.

Also managed one game. And won.
100% victories in 2021.
(Actually, since it was my only game of 9th, undefeated in that too)

I had a really productive 2021, hitting almost 500 minis. I got the last of my Tau and Primaris painted, then did some work on my Eldar and Grey Knights, and then started Sisters of Battle and really ran with them. I also painted some Imperial Assault and the Kruelboys from Dominion (not shown).

Did very little, but enjoyed what I did.

A bit of painting here and there, and a few card games. Most importantly, introduced the better half to Space Hulk.

2021 YTD

Ultras: 43 models, 1458 points
Eldar: 6 models, 150 points
Tyranid: 37 models, 812 points
GSC: 1 model, 85 points
Nighthaunt: 10 models, 95 points.

5 factions: 97 models, 2,600 points

23 models and 57 points less than last year, but still a solid year of work. Last year was a bit crazy as far as production went. Nice range of stuff. Didn’t get any Deathwatch done, but a little GSC snuck in as the 5th faction. And from a diversity standpoint, the phobos and banshees are separate schemes from the rest of their range.

Spoiler:

5x Ultramarine 3rd co. Assault Intercessors (sarge w/ PP/fist) - 110 points

I think I painted about 515 models this year. Cleared some major projects out of the backlog including some ANCIENT stuff like my Relic Knights kickstarter. Not sure its all my best work, but I'm sure its better than it would have been if I had painted it "on time" 5+ years ago.

Added a couple new games to my rotation and I've been really happy to keep them fully painted. Bushido is a new favorite that I'm sure I'll add more to, but I've also enjoyed having it painted and its helped me stay disciplined. Warcaster: Neo Mechanika got a ton of play this summer as well, though I think it really needs more variety that hopefully will be coming "soon". Getting Infinity Defiance painted and with it the motivation to complete ALL of my Infinity backlog was a big source of pride this year.

Nice to get some actual games in though. Not as freely as I'd like yet, but really loving MCP still and the resurgence in Warmachine has been exciting. There's some big projects I'm excited for this year, particularly Judgement, but I'm really hoping this is the year I finish off the pile for good.

The various lockdowns had an effect on my hobby, decreasing my games but increasing my building/painting. I also got a new airbrush in January 2021 which opened up some options for me.

Painting:

Dark Angels - 2,600 points//47 models
Necrons - 695 points/15 models
Necromunda - 10 Escher models

Age of Sigmar Chaos - 2090 points/89 models

Bolt Action

Italian - 1000 points/ 28 models
Germans - 1000 points/ 31 models

Gaming:

I played in five 40K tournaments and one AOS tournament. I got in weekly games of 40K through the summer and fall which was great! Finally, I picked up Ticket to Ride and my family have actually enjoyed playing a board game together!

All you have to do is fire three rounds a minute, and stand

Technically, I accomplished assembling a few models on New Year's Eve itself. That's it for 2021. I pretty much dropped out of wargaming for 2020-2021. But I'm back in now.

"You listen to me. While I will admit to a certain cynicism, the fact is that I am a naysayer and hatchetman in the fight against violence. I pride myself in taking a punch and I'll gladly take another because I choose to live my life in the company of Gandhi and King. My concerns are global. I reject absolutely revenge, aggression, and retaliation. The foundation of such a method... is love. I love you Sheriff Truman." - Twin Peaks
