so i appload the thinking outside the box, i really do. but no, it wont work, sharpie ink is that, ink, ink does not clink well to a model and does not do what a primer needs to do.
A primers purpose is not just "lay down a base color" it does that yes, but a primers primary point, is to create a surface for paint to cling to. Resin and plastic models are FAR to smooth for paint to stick to, you can observe this by painting over raw plastic with paint, it dont work so good. Primers are usually designed to cover much thicker, and cling to the model, or if arisolized dry fast enough that it creates a smooth coat. This allowed the paint to stick better as the primer is genreally a rougher surface then the plastic.
Sharpie ink does not provide a good surface for paint to cling to.
