Thank you! Truth be told, I eschewed edge highlighting for this project in great part because my massive Horus Heresy project that has occupied most of the last year has featured so much of it, so every time I return for some Tyranids my body craves a bit of variety.

For the most part, these models are contrast and drybrushing.

For the Hive Tyrant's wings in particular, I believe the foundation was Magos Purple (leveraging the blotchy nature of contrast over large flat surfaces to my advantage for a varied effect), then using layered heavy drybrushing of first Slaanesh Grey and then regular white to smooth things down and build up more definition.

Cool! If I ever get into Tyranids, I'll definitely have to try this paint Scheme out sometime
