So we basically have the various Chaos factions to choose from and Orks, Necrons, Tyranids, and Dark Eldar. We just had Tyranids and Necrons, so I think either something Chaos (but not one of the ones that looks too much like regular marines. Death Guard was good for that but Iron Warriors for instance not so much).
It'll be partly based around a range refresh, but following that criteria:
- Orks - have a few finecast/old units left but generally not something that can't be easily solved with a small wave and a massive range of modern plastics supporting it
- Dark eldar - lots of units
OOP and largely a 5th ed model range that holds up well
- World eaters - missing half an army
- Thousand sons - missing half an army
- Emperors Children - likely a 10th ed launch but... probably missing half an army
- Daemons - unsure future but core infantry is again 4th/5th ed and showing it's age
- Vanilla chaos marines - almost entirely new range missing 1-2 kits, even less likely than orks
imo
- Chaos knights -
lol no
- Dark mech - possible and would be an awesome curve ball, but I think it'd be a proverbial middle finger to the legions at that point
