I prefer to simulate nice open plains... without blocking terrain. It worked in the Phantom Menance....
Too bad I can't find opponents who agree with me.

Try 2nd edition - the more players use the hide and overwatch rules the more scenery gets removed from the tables.

A lot of what we do has been done for far longer by model railroaders. Huge amount of stuff out there. Sometimes the scale is off, but the technique hold true.

Sadly, not a lot of Imperial Knight rules for 2nd Ed.

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it. |

Gork and Mork speak to me!

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe. |

I don't necessarily hate the tournament L shaped ruin, it is at least effective in reducing the power of shooting. Nothing says it can't be made to look pretty too! My main problem is that my head is stuck in 3rd edition, with barricades and hedges etc which don't work so well as sight blockers. Not every terrain piece can be Skullvane manse!
