Is there anything about the Leagues of Votann in the book?

Yup. I honestly don’t know if I should go further.

Not A Feature Protagonist. Yet. But they don’t go without mention,

Had a chance to buy this book set and took it.

Initially, the background book portion of the set seemed light, but once I flipped through the pages a bit, I see that it’s a pretty damn dense book. Aside from art taking up some pages, most of which seems new to my eye due to being on again/off again with 40K for the past decade, there is very little space wasted.

Bought it for the Red Corsairs lore, but now I’m intrigued by other aspects and players of the Maelstrom, and I’ve only really skimmed the book so far.

Solid purchase, though the 3 gaming/rules booklets are wasted on my non-playing self. If I actually played, I’d imagine I’d be overjoyed by this book set.

Since you have the book: is there anything about that Barghesi sidekick the Tarellian soldier has running around that throws some light on the wider Barghesi situation? They used to be one of these things that was quietly hyped in the background, and i'm very interested. I'd be very thankful if you could provide whatever illumination the book(s) can give.

The Tarellian has a control device that curbs the worst of the Barghesi's aggression, but plans to get rid of the Barghesi before it gets out of her control. The Barghesi apparently start off as small as "deck vermin" (so rat size?) but have seemingly random bursts of growth and can grow to enormous size at which point their aggression can wipe out a spaceport. Vague as to what their final size might be. By enormous, are we talking Carnifex size? Bio-Titan size?

I’m in the same boat. Lore Slag, but haven’t played in years. So whilst I’m not getting maximum value? The lore is worth it, setting up as it is various sandboxes.

Thank you both very much!
