Land of Confusion

This is easy, give us the one model that was teased in the first 2 Custodes HH rules: The Emperor.

Or give us the models teased in the newest HH Custodes book: the Psi Titan Knight House.

Eldar exodites.

unique klan units.

larger battlesuit style votann, dreadnought or knight sized.

Plastic harridan.

Krootosaur warhound titan sized attack beast, driven like that classic Inferno story from the 90s where a feral world had godzilla sized dinosaurs they defeated titans with so they exterminatused the planet to prevent the god machines losing dominance. They were driven by rocks wedged into their skulls/brains and guys sat on their heads bashing them to control which direction they went.

There are not a lot of things on my list of "I need it and will find the money for it".

Top of the list, and by quite a margin, is a remake of Battlefleet Gothic - but done for the 40K setting, not HH. What I think will actually happen is a BFG version with essentially just one faction, meant to be played with HH as the background. I would not hate it, but probably not invest big time either.
Do it for 40K though, with Imperium, Chaos, Orks and Eldar at least, and all in plastic? I would be so broke!

The other one is a proper Codex: The Lost And The Damned, combining Traitor Guard, Daemons and all the other things associated with the idea. While again I fear GW would half-ass this, if done right it could be glorious - I for one would be all over it.

And yes, I can have both of these right now - but I would still appreciate GWs stamp of officialdom anyway!

P.S.: And posting this for a friend of mine: plastic Thunderhawk.

Just gonna echo calls for 40K Epic.

Not you Epic 40K. I don’t know how you keep getting out of the basement, but you’re going back in there, where you belong, this very instant. Go on. Sod off.

Epic Armageddon is a perfectly acceptable base rule set to adapt. Distinction between good against big, good against ickle for most guns, with some being fine at both. Interesting flyer rules, and of course those wonderful Blast Markers which give the option to simply suppress a unit into next player turn irrelevance.

40K cannot offer the same experience in the same way. Yes you can do Apocalypse and other Megabattles. But epic is how you best experience the scale and madness of war in 40K.

And as I’ve said before? Absolutely nothing compares to the sight of two painted epic scale armies squaring off across a suitably modelled and terrained board. Nothing.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Price wise it’s also quite decent. Sure, a LI army is still around £300 to get to a reasonably playable size. And I’m not calling that cheap.

But once you’re at that point? A single box of tanks is a whole new unit, and about a week or so of build and paint time. So it the becomes fairly cost effective to add and vary your force.

I've long since moved to collecting via eBay rescues and proxy a lot of OOP models. If GW wanted to make me happy, they would release one set of rules carved into stone tablets that would never changed. But they won't. Unfortunately, I think the rules they make now are designed to sell figures and models and are written by corporate sales execs and not gamers.

Hence, I have one of the most extensive collection of 5th edition rules and codices in my local area, as well as legions of OOP figures. GW can't touch this!

I would like to eventually make a unit of former Imperial Guard allies of Tau; if GW released it I would consider it. But I think I will likely make my own and enjoy it more.

The old school, metal, dreadnoughts rock. I have three of them...

I think the last and possibly only purchase I ever made that was in a box was a 3rd edition tactical squad. Twenty dollars was a lot of money for a poor high school student in the 90s. That squad, led by the redoubtable Hanz Wolf, is still my favorite unit. The core of my collection was purchased from friends that gave up on the game and then eBay became a major disease in my life.

Hanz Wolf is a prominent figure in my custom chapter lore. https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/818818.page

Somewhere in Canada

I haven't figured out my level of engagement with 11th- the Crusade thing was a real hit to my love for the hobby. It's not impossible for me to get over it, but it means GW is going to have to work to keep me.

What I need most is a good Drukhari wave. And I'm going to be fussier than I might have been if Crusade had survived. I was prepared to let things go if GW didn't get it exactly right, but in a Crusade-free environment, the bar comes up.

So:

The Court, Beasts and Grotesques are damn near non-negotiable now; fail me here, and GW may never get another dime from me.

Beyond that: Vect and the Dias, Kheradruahk, Urien. These guys are high on my priority list, but if I get the first three units I mentioned, I could live without some of the items on this list.

Beyond that: I'd LOVE Trueborn, Blood Brides and Haemoxocytes. I think Kill team could be the delivery mechanism for one or more of these.

The tag-end wish-list: Sathonyx, Sliscuss and maybe something new.

Note: A big part of getting this right also involves not screwing up what's already right. Drastic changes with models, options and rules for Kabalites, Wyches, and Wracks will require care and precision... And if mistakes are made, other things in this list may not be enough to compensate.

I want to see what GW does with GK. Had Crusade continued, I would be a likely buyer... But without it, I'm not sure. I don't have a big enough GK force to create the kind of sunk cost that my Drukhari do.

GW's BEST bet for getting money out of me during 11th is to release a 40k Warhammer Quest game similar to Blackstone Fortress. I could play such a game even if there's a break from 40k. That role might have been filled by Kill Team, but when they removed the Spec-ops progression system, they killed that game for me... Kinda like the removal Crusade is putting 40k at risk.

Deprive Jake of effective, immersive Narrative progression? Jake will deprive you of cash.
