You’re right, I’ll have a look see if there’s a way to get a spot colour on more of the models.

Weapon is obvious choice I think. Like mid part of chainsword or slugas casing

Looking good! Like the vibrant green and the stripped clothes.

Also known as KeiserS! muette is my old name.

I also have a 3d models shop, check it out here! https://cults3d.com/en/users/keiserspandp/creations

The pink is a good addition for contrast.

Thanks everyone. Got the badmoonz ready for the battle field. Going to look at the link in a bit. Started on the big boss, he’s been my favourite since i saw him. Really thinking about the shading and taking my time, as opposed to the more speed painting way I’ve tackled the boyz.

They are great. Idk why you wanna another approach, now you get a consistent result. And what a result! The best is an enemy of the good.

I’m playing and learning all the time with painting, the way I did it on the big boss would be my gold standard, but I want to find more efficient ways to get similar acceptable results.

The skin on wazzdakka was a joy to paint but I wanted to be able to replicate a similar look but across mobs of boys so needed to tweak the recipe for mobs and make it quicker, cut down the steps but keep the same feel. The yellow was the other way round. Got a look I liked on the mobs but wanted to see if I could refine it for characters and display pieces.

This is the joy of army painting for me, finding ways to get good results efficiently. Playing with new paints and techniques, pushing myself to try things I don’t think I’m good enough to do. I “speedpaint” so many units it nice to sit and spend some time glazing and lavishing attention on all the details on a nice model sometimes.

On the big boss I want to do some free hand ORKS stuff on the armour but I like the yellow so much I can’t bring myself to right now.

Every time i trying to speedup it's turn ugly. Well, may be you could find solution with your color scheme

The boyz are looking fine! Take your time working those character models, it will be worth it in the end.
