There's no need for the 'D' when it's in front of a dollar sign

Oz money is the same. AUD if you're talking generics, AU $xxx for an actual price.

While I love the look of this guy I'm sure you could get an ACTUAL Beaky marine from that era off of ebay for around the same price.

I normally eat this kind of stuff up but that model isn't doing it for me. I've still got a couple of RTB01 marines on the sprue that I've been saving, I may take this as my opportunity to finally do them up.

The OP cites you as the source for the image. Is that $59 price for just the mini or a package w prints or something, and is it in USD CAD or AUD?

He's not the source, I was. Or, at least, I posted it on the FB page which was originally cited.

You can see in the image precisely what I can, I don't have access to the magazine, only the image that was forwarded to me from my source who wishes to remain in stealth mode.

Huh. I half-thought they were going to put him on White Dwarfs like the AoS Stormcast and later sell him in a boxed set.

Just incase it matters, I said Chikout was the source as he was the one that linked us to the Facebook post. Fingers crossed that doing so hasn't upset you.

I'd have to be a much more petty person to be bothered, and would have said something much sooner, but, point of order, someone linking to something elsewhere can't really be called the "source" by definition.

Well, at least you're not bothered, that way we can move on and discuss the release itself.

So, GW manager man said that there will be the mini and book that we've already heard of (no plot info on the book), though also some art work up for grabs on the day. No indication if they were freebies or chargeable.

Bothered or no, as it came up organically, it might be a nice gesture to correct the oversight?

Some other time perhaps, pain in the ass to do from a phone. That and like it or not, Chikout was the chap that brought it to Dakka's attention. As you say, if it doesn't bother you there's surely no need for me to rush to a computer to change a name?

Anyhoo, bath time, later dude

Besides, the issue wouldn't be crediting Chikout with finding it, it's the lack of accreditation as to where he found it that I'd take issue with if I were determined to make a thing out of it.

I'm equally baffled why I appear to be getting attitude for politely requesting that the page I administer, that I am pretty sure was the first, or among them, to leak the image, get due credit seeing as the subject came up as a result of someone else posting because hey thought the guy who linked to that page was in possession of the WD?

Aw bless lads, how's about we stay on topic and leave the jibes at home yes? I said that I will edit it, just not now. This phone that I have here, is a pain in the ass - the text selector jumps all over the place, don't ask me why, it just does. Let's also give due consideration to the fact that the page in question already HAS been credited, just not on page 1 which, as you said yourself Azrael, you're not bothered about. To keep going on about it now shows that you in actual fact ARE bothered about, which I fully note, and will correct at my earliest opportunity.

Mods, please feel free to edit post one with the link if that's the quickest solution to achieve what Azrael's asking, it'll likely be Monday before I get to a desktop; I really don't fancy playing chase the text selector tonight.

Wow, seems I am being talked about. I am not the source of anything. Just someone interested in news about GW . I was not sure who to give credit to which is why I posted a link rather than just copying over the picture. I actually saw it in faeit and was surprised no one here was talking about it yet. Apologies if I upset anyone.

Chill Chikout, it's not you that's in the firing line.

All will be sorted eventually.

No, not being credited don't bother me sufficiently to make a big deal out of it.

The subject of where the picture came from being raised organically by another poster, where it's then natural to raise the point, only to then get "meh, you're not bothered so feth it" when I'd have usually expected "oops, sorry, I'll edit the link in" as that's considered to be the right thing to do with these things, is a little more bothersome.

Besides, where the picture came from is pretty on fething topic, wouldn't you say?

Righty doki, so first you say you're not bothered, in as many words as that, then you continue hounding me about how you're not bothered but actually you are bothered so could I just...?

There's another done thing that I think is applicable here, straight forward communication. Tell me there's a problem and it'll get sorted, say you're not bothered, then it's not gonna be high on my priority list. See the difference?

Now, I've said twice already and will for a third time if only to shut you up, it will be done either when I get to a computer, or if and when a mod takes care of it sooner. Do I need to say it any more?

No, you needed to say it in the first instance.

I'll say it again, I wasn't bothered enough by the lack of accreditation to bring it up in isolation, when it came up, I was a lot more bothered by the apparent attitude and the mini-mod "on topic" warning than a simple admission of the error and the promise to correct it ASAP. It's now become more about the principle of the thing than the thing itself.

It wasn't the poor forum etiquette that bothered me so much as the response when it was brought up. I can't be any clearer.

WD 112 said that issue 115 will bring us "big news and a very special feature". As you say though, I'd be surprised to see rules for a LE model a week in advance...Unless they advertised it as a preorder with the model physically on sale on the 16th? I don't remember how they went about releasing the 25th anniversary model though so can't compare

Um, or they release the rules in advance and tell you to "be in store on the 16th to get your very own!"?

Exactly what I'm getting at. Treated as a preorder as far as advertising goes, though not physically on sale until the 16th. I just find it odd that in doing so, the anniversary itself would either have less focus on the days releases (which for a single model and a book, doesn't give them much to advertise without duplicating what they'd already stated in 115) or they find themselves at the start of a path in which they advertise their releases a week in advance, whereas the current pattern is this week's releases in this week's wd, not before.

If they want to sell out over the release weekend, letting people see the rules beforehand would facilitate that. I don't think it is the herald of changes to wd.

There have been plenty of ropy issues with duplicated content, i.e. when imperial knights were first released.
