Im thinking of starting Firestorm armada but i need help my questions are:
1 How long does it take for them to arrive?
2 Whats the quality like?
3 Whats the simplest to assemble fleet?
Those are the questions i have at the moment and i hope to get a reply soon

1) Not sure on that question. The LGS had them on the shelf, so I bought them. Special orders take about a week to show up, so I'd plan on that.
2) Its a mix of resin and pewter models. I've put together 3 fleets -- Terrans, Dindrendzi, and Sorylians. The Terran Carrier required some green stuff to fit the front and back halves together. As long as you following the assembly directions, the Dindrendzi aren't a problem (and all my ships were great). The Sorylians had a little bit of bubbling on one of the cruisers, but it was on a joint and was not visible once assembled.
As long as you are familiar with dealing with resin, I give the kits a 8.5 / 10.
3) I believe the Directorate (the newest fleet) is all single piece models except for the carrier, so thats probably the easiest. Then the Aquans (single or 2 piece models), the Sorylians are next (the BS can be a bit tough to line up correctly), then the Terrans (most of the ships are 2 to 3 pieces). Finally, the Dindrendzi are probably the hardest just because the ships don't really go together like you would expect them to (there is a gap between the hulls).
I can post pics of assembled and primed minis, nothing is fully painted yet. :(

Don't forget to check out the modeling section on the Spartan Games forum. There are a lot of jaw-droppingly beautiful paint jobs there:

Are those curves on the Carrier free hand, or did you use some kind of template to keep them even?

Actually, I masked the curves using blue Scotch masking tape. I used two circle templates (one for the outer curve and one for the inner curve) to cut the right shape out using an Xacto knife. The curves came out OK, but I still needed to touch them up free-hand before I was happy with them.
