I know I'm a bit odd in that my taste buds don't pick up on sour as well as they should. Due to this I positively love limes. I will peel them like an orange and just eat them. Naturally this gets me some weird looks despite limes being used in tons of deserts and drinks. Anybody else have a favorite seemingly normal favorite food that you get weird looks for how/what you eat?

Peanut butter on bread dipped in orange juice or orange squash before eating.

I apparently am virtually immune to chilli. Honest to god no clue why, but, for children in need i ate 73 chilli's in a row. That was 53 more than any other contester. I only stopped cos i threw up. But yeah, sometimes i just take a bunch of chillis to school and munch down on em.

I wouldn't say I've eaten anything too much weirder than any other starving bachelor.

I like to put MM's in my con flakes, and I like to dip french fries in french onion dip.

Fries are really just a vehicle for the sauce. Who here hasn't eaten chips with mayo, with caesar, with french onion, with a mix of vinegar and tomato sauce...

Okay that last one is probably just me.

Malt vinegar? That doesn't sound all that bad, really... a bit weird though.

Eating bugs doesn't sound particularly odd to me either. I don't regularly eat anything that strange, but I would love to find a place that sells alligator jerky again.

Twiglets dipped in lager always gets a few odd looks down the pub.

I also am quite partial to a pickled egg in a bag of smashed up salt and vinegar crisps. Now I know that lots of you will consider this normal, but Mrs Squil and her family look on as if I were eating a small baby.

I knew a guy that used to peel off tomatoes and eat them like apples.

I think I don't use to do weird things with food.

Thats grim by any standard. Pickled eggs are like charity boxes for dubious local charities, they belong at the end of the bar collecting dust!

Me, I like to dip a few of my fries in my Vanilla Milkshake when in Maccy D's. Originally I think this was to deal with the ton of salt they put on them, now its just habit.

I have seen people eat raw onions before, and not for bets either? My dads mate always ate oranges with the peel still on them, equally odd.

McDonalds fries dipped in McDonalds choc fudge sundae.
The Netherlands Macca's mayonaise is moset excellent but this is the best substitute I've found.

Also if you ask for half choc, half starwberry large sundae at McDonals they will do it. Most tasty!

How about some of my local delicasies like Scrapple and Pork Roll. Scrapple is the parts of a pig and cow that dont make it into hotdogs, mixed with some barley and then made into a brick. Pork Roll is a spiced pork that is awsome. You go anywhere else in the country and its hard to find scrapple and impossible to find Pork Roll.

I worked at burger king, and I invented a new sandwich. I called it the "Quad Animal Burger"...

its structure was as follows:

Bun
Mayo
Ketchup
4x slices bacon, 2x slices cheese
fish fillet patty
4x slices bacon, 2x slices cheese
whopper patty
4x slices bacon, 2x slices cheese
tendercrisp chicken patty
Bun

wasn't half bad, but damn, was it filling. Also, when adding the cost of ingredients afterwards, it would cost ~$10 if a customer ordered it.

My wife looks at me funny when I mix my mashed tatters with everything else on my plate.... Thanks Giving is my favorite eating holiday. I also make hot pockets, and cut them open, eat all the insides...and then eat the bread.

I don;'t know why, but people think I'm weird for eating potato chips (regular!) with ketchup. Seriously, not really any different than french fries.

I disagree, Fries/chips/crisps are merely a vehicle for salt. Other seasonings/dips/sauces merely ruin the potatoey goodness.

And I eat apple cores and stalks, and raw chillies as a snack.

I ate fried caterpillar and onion once - imagine a small tire filled with jelly.

I chop raw mushrooms up in salads sometimes, also half grapes and skinned segments of orange.

Yes! I used to do this too, but only with Smash (the instant mash potato that the aliens gave us) and corned beef. Anything else would be fookin' weird!

Thinking about it, its not that weird over here, its actually a recipe for an old skool dish called bubble and squeak.

Cold mashed 'taters+Left over veg from roast dinner+a little bit of meat [optional] - mix then fry and have for breakfast, a bit like a rosti or fishcake of sorts. My old man swears by it!

I have to eat my food in regimented order. There's a specific order depending what I'm eating and I have to finish one before I touch the next. Also no mixing of any of the elements of the meal. I cannot stand when the juices of a steak touch the mashed potatoes.

I eat Kiwi whole no peeling just eat the whole thing. Also enjoy alligator and rattlesnake as they are some of my favorite meat.
