I'm an old mark I player and will soon be getting back into Warmachine as soon as I get a hold of the latest faction deck and rule books. Is there anything I need to keep in mind with the transition from Mark I to II... is it mostly just getting used to icons?

There were a bunch of minor changes which have a cumulitive effect on the whole of the game play.

It will definitely benefit you to pick up the New rule book. Many things have been standardized by type or interaction and clear definitions and explanations as to how certain encounters work regarding specific effects such as cover.

Honestly i think the new rules set is more intuitive (to a point) but it is still the same basic game. On a side note jacks are better and more viable to take (depending on your faction).

Poznan, Poland.

New LOS rules. Very important because of how they changed melee combat.
