Hey, does anyone know where I can get cheap Gretchin to use as tank commanders? I don't care what range they are from, or if they are goblins, or whatever. Ideally they'd have little hats or something along those lines. Holding binoculars or telescopes or similar also would be awesome. I checked Reaper and Maxmini already, nothing exactly like what I want. Even the FW ones aren't exactly great either (nor are they cheap).

Any problem with newish plastic GW ones? At £9 for 10 it's not a bad deal, especially when you look at it as a % of 10 tanks.
The addition of some IG binoculars and various gunsights as telescopes would help too.
The stompa grots are good too but i'm sure that they are pretty expensive.

I looked at those, but I'm not crazy about most of the poses. A naked grot holding a sword does not make a tank commander, to my thinking. Seeing all those pirate ork heads, and WW2 ork heads makes me think there is a better alternative I'm simply not aware of; I didn't even know Mantic Games existed until a week ago, for example.
I certainly could find some telescope type bits but I'm not a good enough sculpter to fix the poses so they are peering down them, for example.

Microartstudio's Goblin Generals (Soviet) set could be the thing for you.
Not cheap but very very cool!

Oh, those generals are really good. Thanks, that's nearly perfect.
