My friend and I have started new armies each. I've gone for Orks, while he's going for Blood Angels. We had our first battle a few days ago and his Blood Angels munched up my Orks. I was running 20 Sluggas with PK Nob, 30 Shootas with PK Nob, 5 Nobs, PK Warboss and 2 Deffkopta's. That's all the units I have at the moment. He's going primarily Death Company squads and termies, as well as vindicators and Baal Predators. I'm a bit worried, his BA seem to be able to take my Orks in combat; something that's never happened to them before! I'm going to be making a purchase today, and I was wondering if 10 Loota's or 3 Killa Kans would be better to buy today? If it's Kans, what should I field them with? I was thinking KMB, but I'm not sure if rokkits would be better.

Both Kans and Lootas are awesome units, but since you don't have a big mek to provide KFF, I'd suggest you go with the lootas. Also, if you decide to go for the Kans ayway, get rokkits. They're BS 3, might as well use it.

Anyhow, the lootas should mess around with his armoured units a bit, since they have the potential to fire so many shots. Another tip that you might want to try is to give your koptas buzzaws, and scout move them into position to attack the rear armour of the tanks on round 1. Str 7 vs. AV 10 shouldn't be too much of a problem to at least do SOMETHING.

Kans are a great combo for your shootas but you really do need a KFF.

I'd also say lootas.
