Here is one of my Catachan's. He is primarily used in my necromunda gang and I was wondering how to make decent looking urban bases. I've used coarse ballast before to make gravel but I don't want to do the same basing pattern again. Any suggestions would be helpful. C&C on the Catachan is also welcome.

Depending on how securely you have the guy secured on to the base, I would pull him off and use 2.5mm or thinner plasticard to make a second platform with guttering built in, then it looks like the man is standing on a paved street.

You can get plasticard in effects like punched metal and that... erm, forgot the word, but the raised metal effect you get on building sites.
Take a look round for parts, also include things like cogs etc, get em from going into a jewellers and having a polite word with the owner, I'm sure they'll have a little pile of broken bits n bobs. Automatically Appended Next Post: Ah, diamond/hazard plate effect as in this stuff:

Give it a yellow/black hazard striping paint job and that will look amazing.

I like both ideas.
Any tips on how to best pry these guys off their bases?

have a look on my necromunda thread. I use greenstuff on the bases, and then I press some ruble on them. ( see page 4 and more) Hope this helps.
