My question is this; In Imperial Armour Volume 1 it says that a Valkyrie in Apoc is a flyer with hover mode. When the new guard codex came out they release an Errata that brought the IA 1 points values and vehicle options in line with the Guard codex, they did however leave out the vendetta from the Valkyrie listing. In the Guard codex the listing in the front of the book has them as a single entry but in the back they are separate fast attack options so does this mean that my Valkyries in apoc can fly and my vendettas can"t???

I just checked my copy of the IA1 update, And Absolutely the Valk is a Flyer with hover(making it effectively a Skimmer when not Flying about) and the Vendetta is just a Fast Skimmer

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.

Technically yes, although since apocaplyse is less strict with rules generally I think you'd be hard pressed to find an opponent that didnt let you use the flyer rules for vendettas.

If we were to play each other in a tournament, not only would I table you, I would murder you, your family, every woman you ever loved and burn down your house. I mean, what's the point in winning if you allow people that don't take the game seriously to live?

They didn't leave it out, the Vendetta is a separate unit entry from the Valkyrie. Since IA1 doesn't include rules for the Vendetta there is no reason that the update suddenly would.

In fact, Forgeworld has never previously published any Vendetta rules since it was only first introduced in the new Guard codex.

The first IA book to include it is in IA8, as part of the Elysian army list and yes, in that book the Vendetta is listed as being a flyer with hover mode in games of Apocalypse.

Now, I know the Elysian list is part of an 'expansion' (the IA series), but so is Apoclaypse. So anyone who is agreeing to play Apocalypse with you really shouldn't be giving you too much of a fuss for using the Vendetta rules referenced from the Elysian list in IA8 as again, it is the only place that rules for the Vendetta have existed in a Forgeworld book so far.

IA8 specifies flyer-with-hover-in-apoc for the vendetta.

Hey guys, a while back i had the same question and as you have basically already answered it i guess oyu are good to go. But there is another source where valks and vendettas are mentioned as flyers togeather. It is in an older WD august 09 i believe in a liber apocoliptica. If you have a GW account it is in WD archives under that name. Also Link
