Im happy with the back scales sunburst yellow with edges of fiery orange, but am kinda stuck with what color to do the rest of the skin, im reluctant to do the blue tone that seems everywhere.

Go to the library, get all the natural history books on reptiles and amphibians out that they have.

I recommend that for tyranid players taking out books on insects and reptiles. It really works if you introduce a colour from nature.

Thats EXACTLY what I did with my lizards. Especially my skinks. I found the most stabyouintheopticnerve paint jobs nature had to offer. I actually went as far afield as color schemes from insects, fish, even birds. A good book on wildlife in color is of great use, os you can peruse it and look for inspiration.

If you're looking for a wierd coloured tropical lizard, have a look at the Tokay gecko. It might not fit for sauruses colour scheme but it might inspire you for other models.

The blck and yellow is really working well.

To be honest the orange on the crest is too washed out.

Go bananas with a bright red/blu/green, something to really offset the scheme.
