Hello,

previosly I have bought extra bits from eBay when I want to customize a mini.

Anyone know of any cheap sellers of wh40k parts?

So, there are a lot of bitz companies around, but you're going to have to pay an arm and a leg in shipping if you try to get it from the US or the UK. The internet is worldwide, but shipping rates are just as parochial as they've always been.

As such, you've really got to look for a bitz man in australia itself, rather than just any old internet bitz store.

There are a few of those around these days.

Check the link in my sig, although the range isn't huge these days, and depends largely on what I'm currently working on.

Otherwise, I know there are at least 2 or 3 Oz bits sellers still in business, although the ones I've seen all trade on eBay.

I'm not sure there is any such thing as cheap bits, unless you count bits from ebay in the form of borwn bags full of old sprue.

With a bit your paying for the popularity of the item, the more popular the bit the more it costs, think beaky space marine heads or missle launchers.

The best bitys seller I've found is the one attached to the War Store, but thats located in the US.

There are two I use on Ebay: Hoard O' Bits and BlackDagger Games.

my experience with bits stores (i have looked around EXTENSIVELY) is that most have very poor re-stocking. this leads to the really good bits that everyone wants being CONSTANTLY out of stock. and most places won't re-stock on request. in fact, most places don't seem to restock almost ever. it's very frustrating.

that said, the eBay store "Hoard O' Bits doesn't seem to have this problem, but their prices sometimes aren't very good, often you have to buy stuff you don't want (i.e. the bits you *DO* want are bundled with stuff you don't want) and the guy who runs it can be a real jerk. i've been stiffed for orders i've placed with them. i wouldn't recommend them.

there is a place in Australia called The Combat Company, and the guy who runs that place is pretty cool. the stock is not always there, but the prices and selection are good (and no stupid bundling) i'd recommend using them if you are in Auz/NZ.
