America... Feth Yeah!

If you sat down for a good hour or two and just painted your basic troops with Citadel paints, do you go through several bottles of the paint, or do the paints last longer than that?

Um, I have Citadel paints that saw the early 90's and are still usable... Rarely run out, and definitely, definitely not in the space of hours...

The only time I go through that much paint is when I am airbrushing a few tanks, othewise one container paints upwards of 30 figures.

Then of cource thats me, some people use more, some less.

Alright! Thanks guys... I'm just checking everything out before I really commit to the game... I'm stingy like that.

Unless you're seriously ham-handed and just glob on paint with reckless abandon, you should be just fine. I've got pots of paint I've been using for 3 years that are still fine.

I paint painfully slowly, so pots/hr is a less than ideal measure, but even doing something like SM armor in primarily one color, a pot should last you through multiple squads.

Perhaps if you were using an airbrush to undercoat several tanks....

Use Vallejo paints rather than Citadel if you are stingy you get a little more in the bottles, they are cheaper, higher quality, and come in dropper bottles so it's easy to measure out the paint

1500pts

Paints usually last a very VERY long time. I've been using a 2-oz bottle of red paint for a friend's IG army (I've nicknamed it The Red Tide,) and I only started to really make a dent in that bottle recently when I bought an airbrush to paint his tanks with.

Bernard, float over here so I can punch you.
