Hello everyone,
Needless to say I'm a new member, but I've been coming to this site periodically the past couple of years when searching for 40k pics to motivate me. I started table top war gamming in 1998 about the time D&D 3rd Ed came out. I was working at New Dimension Comics at the time and didn't like what I was seeing with the paper and pencil gaming groups, so I started to just paint fantasy mini's, to pass time since the models that Reaper was producing looked sweet. My manager got the employees to each buy a different set of WH40k armies to get the locals playing. I believe 3rd Ed WH40k was just released at that time and I had picked Imperial Guard. I became a total fanatic for everything 40k, it became my addiction. I have been painting ever since. The most unfortunate part about this story is that I have only played the game a handful of times since most everyone I meet is not willing to invest in the game, and local gaming groups typically end up being "no shows." So I just soldiered on collected more armies so that all I need is someone else to want to play and I would provide there army. I am now just looking for motivation and inspiration to continue my collecting habits.
