+2 Big Shootas

30 shootas - 230

+2 Big Shootas

19 sluggas - 154

10 Gretchin - 40

6 Killa Kans - 270

Battle Wagon - 110
+DeffRolla

5 kommandos + snikrot - 135
+2 Burnas

Total: 1404

Deployment:

--KK---KK----KK-------KK----KK---KK
Shootas---Battle Wagon---Shootas

Tactics:
Mek & Slugga Boys go in the Battle Wagon. Snikrot, Kommmandos, & Warboss coming on as reserves behind enemy lines. Split up on arrival. Warboss to take out Mech. Snikrot & Kommandos to take out infantry. Gretchin take objectives. (Will go to ground for the entire game.)

My worries:
The Battle Wagon & Warboss won't survive to turn 2. I only have one Battle Wagon so it'll be target #1. If it blows up my KFF goes with it and my footsloggers get destroyed at range. I'm not really sure how to remedy this. Would attaching the Big Mek to a mob of 30 Shoota Boys be better than putting him in a BW?

you going to run your warboss solo w/o a squad to protect him? Run atleast a small nob biker squad to wreck house with him

Attaching the Mek to a mob of Shoota Boyz is allright until pie plates get thrown. It might be worth putting him in a unit that will fit in the battlewagon instead- best of both worlds.

Also, Putting the Warboss in a squad is a good idea. Maybe drop 3 killa kans and use those points to bolster your Mek and Warboss?

Thanks for the help guys, Here's the revised list. Dropped Snikrot & the Kommandos to pick up 3 nob bikers. Made the Gretchin squad bigger too with the remaining points.

The Big Mek & the 19 Slugga Boys go in the BW.

How does it look now?

I'd would caution against mixing Battlewagons with Killa Kans. You'll end up splitting your forces and that is never a good idea. With the Bike Boss and Nobz, I'd go Kult of Speed and pick up at least one more Battlewagon and a couple Trukks.

The BW is just there to keep the Mek alive & to increase the reach of the KFF. It'll progress behind the kanwall.

I'm tempted to take the Cardboard Ork Dreadnaught and just position the mek behind it. (The Mek would be COMPLETELY out of sight!)

...that would be beyond cheese though I think.

Personally atleast 1 big shoota and grot riggers should also be on the battle wagon, maybe drop the gretchen down to 15 to compensate points.

The rule of thumb with Orks is all or nothing. Pick a theme and go with it.

That said, you have elements from 3 different themed armies in your list. YOu have Nob Bikers (which 3 will get shot up before they're useful and with just 3 it's a waste of points), YOu have the battlewagon which is the centerpoiint of a speed freak army and 6 of 9 Killa Kans which are the centerpiece of a Kan Wall army.

Pick a theme and go with it. I run Kan wall myself and LOVE it: Kan Wall looks like this:

HQ:
KFF Mek
KFF Mek

Troops:
30 Boyz, Nob, PK
30 Boyz, Nob, PK
30 Boyz, Nob, PK
30 Boyz, Nob, PK

Fast:
Deffkopta, TL RL, Buzzsaw
Deffkopta, TL RL, Buzzasaw
Deffkppta, TL RL, Buzzsaw

Heavy:
3 Killa Kans: Grotzooka, KMB, KMB
3 Killa Kans: KMB, Grotzooka, Grotzooka
3 Killa Kans: Grotzooka, KMB, KMB

Current Armies:

Warmachine:
Shae Pirate's Life 50
Durgen attrition 50

WH40K:
Orks (5,000 pt Apoc Kan Wall, 1850 Bikerz)
Grey Knights (1850 Crowe Purifiers, 2500 'Ard Boyz Draigo)
Sisters of Battle (Seraphim spam)

WHFB:

Yeah I figured 2 KFF meks & 9 kans was the way to go. I really wanted to use a warboss on a bike though.

Couple questions 2000 Volts:

1. How do you equip your boys? (Shootas? Sluggas? Mixture?)
2. How does your dedicated Kan Wall list do? Is it ideal as a "take on all comers" list?

The kan wall is a very simple list while it is strong it can be countered hard against any army that has some serious shooting with enough shots you will fail your saves and wrecked kans slows down the boys behind. In terms of boyz its more personal preference I prefer sluggas over shootas but shootas are nice but the extra attack can help alot.

Sluggas all the way. Ive never liked shootas and I don't really know why. The sluggas seem more Orky and as stated above, the extra attack in CC helps a ton.
