Hello!!
This is our fifth week of the campaign. Check out last week’s report which also has links to the previous reports:

Turns out the way we deployed and played last week’s game was correct. The reason I thought otherwise is because the one game I looked at after ours was done, the Player 1 was playing very aggressively and didn’t have much in the redeployment zone. So last week’s game was played correctly.
On to this week’s match up. Here’s the Mission and my List. It’s the same one as last week as well.
Kendal rolls high and decides to be player 2 this week. I already know I’ll have to make a difficult choice. My highest point unit is my Lootas but of course they’ll be useless if they move at all.
I decide the Lootas and Grot mobz will be sacrificed for the rest of the army. Serves them right, they’re the only non-Kult of Speed units in my list!
I discovered a new function in my camera. I can take a landscape shot and rotate it in the camera. That’s what I did for the mission picture. I forgot to rotate the deployment shot so everyone needs to tilt their heads to the right:
On the bottom of the table edge goes my 3 BW’s with 3 Boyz mobs(Red, Orange, and Yellow) inside,
KFF Mek attached to the middle unit. If front are the 2 Mega Nobz mobs in their speedy red Trukks with the 3 Rokkit Trakks next to them. In the middle of the deployment Zone arte my Lootas with a Grot mob on either side. The plan is to run everything up the bottom of the board while the Lootas blast away and the Grots die. R
Kendal deploys his Orks as close to my stuff as is allowed. The seam on the terrain is the edge of his deployment zone. The lower right is a mob of Boyz. Next to that is 7 Biker Nobz (my priority target). Finally a Trukk full of Boyz. At the top is a mob of Boyz and another Trukk Mob. He also has a Battelwagon full of Nobz with a Warboss all held in reserve. The 6 inch depth has his boyz very grouped up.
Top of Turn 1
The Grot Mobz move up to deflect any potential assaults. The Trukks, Trakks, and BW’s all move 12 and BOTH Mega Nobz mobs jump out. Looking back I should have only disembarked one mob.
My Lootas fire at the Mega Nobz and after cover and
FNP I have managed to inflict 3 wounds on the Biker Nobz. I was hoping for a little more but 3 is better than nothing. As an Ork player I know how expensive bike Nobz can get. The Rokkit Trakks fire at a Trukk trying to explode it but no dice. Both groups of Mega Nobz assault the boyz in front of them. I wipe out the mob but lose 2 in one mob from his Power Klaw Nob which is somewhat lucky since he only had 3 attacks and hits me on a 4+. Not a huge deal but no what I was expecting. Here’s the result:
Bottom of Turn 1
Everything he has comes at me in a green wave. Had he disembarked his Boyz they could have spanned the table width. The Biker Nobz assault the Megas and clear them out while taking a hefty loss. No where close to even since the most a Mega Nob can cost is 45 points. They go down swinging.
Top of Turn 2
Red Mob jumps out to attack something. . . its been 3 weeks since I played and I can’t remember what they were doing but I gaurentee some Orks died. Both Grotz mobs move to cover the Lootas from an impending attack. The Lootas fire on the approaching Foot Clan mob and take out about a third of them. The BW’s continue straight on through open-topped
AV 10 rolling death to scare the enemy!
Bottom of Turn 2
Kendal starts rolling for reserves. The biggest threat being the Battlewagon full of Nob and Warboss goodness. They don’t arrive so I’m safe for awhile. I think a Deff Kopta arrived. It’s Tit-for-tat time as Kendal’s Trukk Boyz beat on my Red Mob. His Biker Mob runs straight into my empty Trukks and he has a chance to really screw up my advance along the bottom board edge. If he were to simply immobilize them my BW’s would have to go around or potentially be blocked altogether by an Ork on Ork close combat. Luckily he just strips the weapons off them. His Foot mob at the top tears through the Grot mob unsurprisingly.
Reverse shot, notice the wounds on the Bikers from the Rokkit Trakk shooting and the 3’s on the Trukks:
Top of Turn 3
The 3 BW’s charge forward and Deff Rolla the Nob Bikers to death even. The Deff Rollas never fail to amuse me and always make their points back tenfold. The Lootas are able to keep their cool and waste tons of lead on the remaining Boyz at their feet. A mob of 15 is just too big. I’m going to reduce their numbers for the next game. All that stands in the way of the vast majority of my points and the scoring zone is an empty Trukk.
Bottom of Turn 3
With some help from Gork, his BW of unholy pain still doesn’t arrive. Four of his fleeing boyz take pot shots at the back of a wagon as does a Deff Kopta. His other Trukk Mob engages and clears my second Grot mob which catapults him that much closer to my Lootas. Should have kept the little buggers closer.
Top of Turn 4
I move the 3 BW’s into the scoring zone containing 2 mobz of Boyz and the
KFF Big Mek. I whip them around to prevent anymore rear armor shots. I zoom the Rokkit Trakks into the middle while hiding the weaponless Trukks in the far back. The Lootas erase some more boyz.
Bottom of Turn 4
Kendal’s PainWagon finally shows. His 4 Boyz roll a 2 for fallback and still are on the table. He calls the Waaagh this turn and beats on the Lootas who promply run for it.
The last 2 turns we take engage in long range shooting which accomplishes nothing. Very unOrky. I end up getting a score of 74% with him at 26%. 75% is the cutoff for a larger Victory! No worries. Another fun game.
See you next time.
