Falcons are not a good tank unless you have holofields and a 5 man DA squad in them. I dont really see the reason for you to try and spam lances when your team mate is DE...

I agree with that, he does have 10 dark lances on the table for heavily armoured targets. Maybe if I went a different way a bit. Here is a re-tooled list maybe it would work a little better.

I think including Eldrad, though points heavy, using his powers of awesomeness to flank our enemy would be majorly beneficial to our battle plan.

I think this will be a tough game because I rarely play against Chaos Daemons and combined CSM's, and my friend is still new to the DE. So again, any thoughts would be a great help...Thanks!

The DA squads are too small to benefit from an exarch, either make it 1 full squad with all the trimings and a small DAVU squad or simply 2 DAVU squads but change the serpent into a dakka falcon

Greetings,

There are probably some better options your friend could opt for with his DE. 300 points for the haemy swarm is not all that functional when considering death star type units, and I can't imagine he's planning to run them solo or deep strike them in seperately. Maybe pairing them with the bikes for some extra ablative wounds? Eh, it's just not worth it for what amounts to a less effective squad of Burnas basically.

I will note that if he has a Ravager model or an additional Raider he could do better working in another Troop option or the Ravager at the cost of only two Haemys and will have more functional options because of it.

Remember, the Daemons will come to you and DE can easily outshoot CSM - there's no need to toy around with the skyboard squad.

I'm a big fan of RJBs as well, but I will note for the cost of those two squads you could get another Raider squad, a Ravager, or some Wyches, all of which would be more useful in this particular matchup.
