Hi All,
With a mixed unit of 3 Wraiths and a Destroyer Lord, what are the effects of assualting into cover?

The Wraiths have 'wraithflight' which allows them to ignore all terrain and also count as having frag grenades, thus assault enemies in cover at their normal initiative of 6.

The attatched Lord has to take a dangerous terrain test therefore assaults at a reduced initiative of 1.

Does the fact the Lord takes the terrain test reduce the whole unit to I1 or just the Lord?

OK, that went weird..

They all strike at I1, as the unit has taken a Difficult terrain test.

If the Wraiths count as having frag grenades why wouldn't they strike at normal initiative while the Lord strikes at initiative one?

I do not own a Necron Codex so I am basing this entirely on the post above which says they count as having grenades.

Good question. Models with assault grenades do not suffer the penalty so the Wraiths will strike at normal initiative.

The unit has to take the Difficult Terrain test, but the Wraiths will strike at Initiative.

Shouldn't the lord also strike at Initiative? He is a destroyer lord and as such moves as a jetbike. Jetbikes don't have to make a difficult terrain test, they make a dangerous terrain test so none of them would have a reduced initiative.

You suffer the I1 if you take a Dangerous or Difficult terrain test.

It's in the Assault rules ya know.

Nice, apparently we've been playing that wrong for a while now. Completely missed the dangerous part there.
