I think your commander is a bit overtooled. The multitracker, Missiles, and Plasma all make for a nice Fireknife unit, however the shots aren't valuable enough on their own to be worth splitting fire. When you shoot at something, you want it to die. So, I'd drop all the Target Locks from your suits. Plus, if you did want them, you only need them on two (as the third just fires on it's own, right?)

Second, the shield generator on the commander is a bit unnecessary with the two drones. They'll soak up the low AP fire. You could save 20 points by dropping it, and if you wanted to make him really durable you could add a 10 point stim injector instead. Much more useful.

Also, either go mech or gunline. If your warriors are gonna be in fish, you want them and your commanders advancing as one and supporting each other. If you want them to standstill the fire warriors should set up somewhere nice and the suits react to enemy threats. You can't mix and match as Tau. You have to choose a strategy, and go with it. Especially at this low of a points level. You need to be able to concentrate your firepower very quickly, so you NEED to be efficient with your points. I'd almost reccomend downgrading the suits to Burst Cannon, Missile Pod units rather than Fireknives as you are much less likely to see Terminators at 750 points. You are, however, likely to see a lot of infantry and transports, which the Volume of fire brought by these "Firestorms" can bring.

So, if you don't want to read all that...
1. Shield Gen is unnecessary because you have drones. If you want durable commander, go with stim injector instead.
2. Target Locks not necessary on Fireknives. For as few shots as you are firing, you want to kill what you shoot at, and that's 15 points you can save for something else.
3. Go Mech Tau, or Gunline Tau. Be as efficient with your points as possible. With three units, you need to maximize the synergy of each.
4. An aside note, strap a disruption pod on your devilfish. You won't regret it. Ever.

I hope a better play corrects me if I'm wrong but... if you still wanted your bodyguards to be able to fire at different units you could just down grade them to regular Crisis teams save 10 points and not have to worry about LD teams with your Commander. And you could save some points by down grading your Shas'O to an 'El and buy him the gear that increases his BS. So by dropping the target locks, downgrading the bodyguards, your Shas'O and dropping the Shied Generator you save 70 points.

At 750 points are at a premium. I'd definitely downgrade to an Shas'El for your commander. Drop the target lock and the shield generator. You already have invulnerable saves with the shield drones and extra wounds. Drop the Bodyguards. They are way to expensive. Take regular crisis teams. They can move independently cover more of the field and have more flexibility. Every single crisis suit doesn't need a target lock. At most you need crisis suits - 1 to fire each suit at a different target. Drop the Shas'Ui on the fire warriors. You're paying 10 extra points for a +1 leadership.

Total Savings so far: 20 for FW, 40 points on the commander, 30 on the bodyguard. That's 90 points total. That can be used for a piranha, or a devilfish and disruption pod, or 9 firewarriors, A Kroot squad and some hounds. If you drop some firewarriors you can save enough points for a hammerhead.

With all this you should ahve saved up enough points for some kind of vehicle.

I fully second Hido's Advice.

FWs: Back of on a couple FWs per unit and Bond them. At 750, you'll want the stability of a BK.

@Hido: You're too modest.

Go with the El always with an El.

You need vastely more fire power and should include at least 1 hammerhead at this poiints vaqlue.

Your FWs need to always be in devilfish with disruption pods. FWs out of fishes are dead.

Imagine in you will You have your FW squad and Devilfish containing the 2nd FW squad deployed about 4" apart and your opponent has a LSS full of CC scouts with a Combi-melta Sarge (170 point total). Turn 1 the Heavy flamer on the LSS toasts your FWs out in the open any under the template are dead on 2+ no save at all. THat squad is effectively gone. Sarge meltas your devilfish. Your FWs bail out and are assaulted They will lose combat by about 3-4, lets say 3 you now have an Ld test at Ld2, bye bye 2nd fire warrior squad. You now can't possibly claim any objectives and have 3 models left... Game over.

You're spending too many points protecting your 2 few killing elements and not enough points protecting your FWs.

You have no anti-tank fire power at all. Anything Av13 and you're struggling. Against a BA 2 LR list you literally have nothing that can hurt him...
