Eternal Plague

One of the armies I field is a Tau Crisis Suit heavy army.

I have recently picked up a Commander Farsight model, and was wondering what would be the best set-up for an army led by Commander Farsight that:

1. Included as many Crisis Suits at the 1850 point level that can be fielded.

and

2. Offers some level of competitive play, to which I hold no illusion an army like this could prosper, but am willing to try nonetheless.

I have tinkered around with the idea of also adding in some Broadsides, but I want to make the core of the Crisis suit army before adding in additional models.

You can try a farsight bomb list.
Farsight + His huge chrisis squad. Each one equipped to kick ass. This squad might cost you up to 1k pts with shield drones and all. Then add in a squad of pathfinders, use their Devilfish for a squad of firewarriors, add another squad of firewarriors in a devilfish, a squad of broadsides, and a squad of chrisis suits, the leader with a positional relay.

The Chrisis suits should be equipped so they can fire on seperate targets, and with some shield drones to keep the whole thing alive. That squad should have somewhere around 40 wounds at T5 with +3/4++ saves and some silly shortranged firepower. Also, Farsight is a monsterous creature, and he can't be picked out in cc.

The chrisis squad, the pathfinders, possibly the broadsides if you don't intend to walk them on, and the pathfinder devilfish, start on the table. Turn 2, you roll for your bomb with the positional relay, and use the pathfinder's devilfish to land them where you want to.
