I am crafting yet another shootaboy all-comers list, and have a question: what would you prefer to do with some extra points, upgrade 9 shootaboys to rokkitboys, or fillout three undersized loota mobs two each?

Rommits and shootas don't have play well together. Rommits want to shoot meq or transports where shootas are great for anti-infantry. Big shootas work much better in those squads.

So I would split the difference. Add big shootas and more lootas

I'd support the lootas because their str 7 and you're already running them. They are goood and in a shooting ork list I really feel that boys should just stick to being shoota boys not throwing rokkits around - Do you run the lootas in gun boats or do you have them foot it in all their glory?
Where if you're putting the rokkits into the shoota squads you might find youself accidently tempted to shoot at something you're not planning on assaulting

Well, I usually put my lootas in battlewagons, and change up whether the deffrollas are activated. This has been a good strategy against the Space Wolfs, against their countercharge. However, this tournement I'm painting towards, I'm going to replace the battlewagons with nine zzap guns, and add two SAG big meks. Imperial Guardmen -- I just can't out mechanize them. So, I'm going to see if I can outshoot them.
