I created my first extreme windrider host list for my Eldar Army. I very recently got into 40k and this is my first "REAL" army.

The strategy is Reserve everything, and go second. The 1st and 2nd turn of my opponent he can't do anything and on turn 2 of my turn I jump in with 70-80% of my units from the + 2 d6 modifier from my Autarchs. The Shining Spears are really the best units to put the autarchs in despite them being underpowered and too expensive if you can't run Warlock Farseer Jetbike councils.

Hopefully my opponent not knowing which edge of the board I will come on will be caught out of place allowing my Spears to be able to assault Turn 2 by turbo-boosting and assaulting with fire support from Guardians and Vypers. The Dragon Serpents will move Flat-out to gain the 4+ save and kill any must-kill vehicles he has on Turn 3.

My main concerns: Do I have enough Anti-Tank? I devoted 1/4 of my entire army to it with 8x Fire Dragons in 2 Wave Serpents with Bright Lances. The Shining Spears can kill AV11/AV12 in a pinch. Also do I have enough troops? I managed to squeeze in 4 squads of Guardians for fire support and objective contesting. I was thinking of cutting 4 Fire Dragons, 2 from each squad, to have enough points for another Scatter Laser Vyper w/o Spirit Stones. Would 6 man Fire Dragons be enough to finish the job? 3 Scatter Laser Vypers for 12 S6 shots seems to be the most effective way to run them.

I originally thought of running 4 squads of 9xman Guardian Jetbike Squads with a Destructor Warlock and 3 Shrieker Cannons until I passed out from the amount of points it took up.

Well, its a good starting point.
I'd include a FortuneSeer on a jetbike.
In this way, you can generate a rather tough SS unit if you join the Autarch and the Farseer.
However, note that only the Autarch benefits from the Exarch powers, not the Farseer.

I'd go for small FD units, say 5 or 6 FDs.
Moreover, I'd drop the Vypers.
In this way, you could add two naked Fire Prisms.

I'm with wuestenfux regarding the Vyper. They don't cut it any more with the vehicle movement/firing rules the way they are. They definitely don't need spirit stones either. The only good Vyper any more is the annoying gnat in the back with a scatterlaser that nobody can be bothered to shoot at. Also, dump the spirit stones on the Serpents. If you are coming in from reserve you'll get to hit first before they hit back, so given that they are both carrying a load of "I KILL ANYTHING" Dragons, return fire won't be an issue if you do it right.

Regarding unit size on the FDs, you really dont need that many. I have never seen anything that 5 fusion guns can't kill (well, once, when I rolled all 1's.. but usually they are a pretty sure hop and pop squad) However, the moment they get off that transport, any opponent with half a brain will make them target prime and bring them down as quickly as possible. If you position them so they cannot be assaulted, then a couple of numbers could help them survive a turn of shooting better, and even one surviving FD is a tankbuster. Still I think they work best in small units. It's just so much fucussed firepower it's wasted if a full squad unloads when all you need is a couple of them to do your AT work.

Retroactively applied infallability is its own reward. I wish I knew this years ago.

I'm both chaotic and orderly. I value my own principles, and am willing to go to extreme lengths to enforce them, often trampling on the very same principles in the process. At best, I'm heroic and principled; at worst, I'm hypocritical and disorderly.

Drop one Autarch and take a Farseer instead. With you mobility and +1 to reserve you should still be able to overload one of your enemies flank. This way you can take a Jetbike council instead. A unit that utterly rapes SS when it comes to pretty much everything.

Embolden locks with a spear willgreatly increase the durability and usefulness of your EJB squads.

2 Prisms might be a good idea aswell.
