Heya,

I'm trying to find out what 'feathering' is, a Google search lead me to feathering where you take a feather duster dipped in paint and brushed along walls.

If there are pictures too that would be great.

while that tutorial is great, Margo recommends using the same brush to lay down the paint, and to feather...
it's better to use two brushes, so you don't have to worry about taking too long to clean the paint off the brush before you feather...
if you have one brush that you lay down paint with, and one brush that you use to feather, the process is that much easier...
the feathering brush should be kept moist with your saliva, which acts as a nice"blending medium"...
i also suggest that you use a slightly bigger, flatter, brush tip for your feathering than the one you use to lay paint down...

hope that helps...

cheers
