Yeah, the word Bearers trilogy is supposed to be very good. The soul drinkers omnibus is a mix of chaos and loyal so that may be worth a try?

I'd second Lord of the Night as a great read but its about a renegade marine rather than a Chaos Marine - to understand the difference - read the novel
