I recently had a massive spend on Blood Angels, over £200 of stuff. I've been working on making a magnetised Dreadnought based upon the Venerable model. I've also been converting a few Tac Marines using Death Company parts.

Here's what I've done so far. Keep in mind that everything you see is still a Work-In-Progress, which explains the unfinished parts.



Here's the Dread as a Librarian. The force weapon, blood fist and chest plate with psychic hood are all removeable, allowing it to change into a regular Dread.




This is the Commander. He comprised mostly of Death Company parts, although I've also incorporated an Angelus Boltgun. He'll be leading the Assault Marines. The two Tac Marines have been customised with more CD parts. I'm especially fond of the middle one, as his armour looks more archaic due to the unique helmet.

And the Sanguinary Guard. I'm pretty pleased at how the gold turned out. In reality, the gold actually looks like NMM.




Remember, they are all still WIPs, they will look much better when finished.

Really liking the kitbashing on the commander and tack marines. Those armoured heads are great.

To do the gold effect, paint all the areas you want gold with Mithril Silver (bear with me on this), leave no area black. Then apply several heavy coats of Gryphonne Sepia. Leave about 20 mins between each coat to allow the Sepia to fully dry. Applying different numbers of coats, you can vary the shade that is created.

Here's the Death Company that I've started, still a WiP.






I wanted to make the DC all unique, so I'm painting names onto the bases of each member. So far I've got to Daelius (Power Fist), Crusius (Thunder Hammer) and Cleon (Chainsword and pistol).

Hey valk! These are great! But i see only four sanguinary guard why is this? I'm guessing its either: Not been built yet or its not painted.

I have an idea if its not painted or built if you want to know ill PM you with it

Sorry, the last guy's already been assembled with a banner and Power Fist. The only reason he wasn't in the photo was because the paint was still drying when the photo was taken. I'd still like to hear your idea though.
