Guardsman with Flashlight

I have a large Imperial Guard army consisting of 100 infantry men, 12 Heavy Weapon Teams, 3 Leman Russ, 3 Chimera, 1 Hellhound, 3 Sentinels, all my command HQ's, 10 Stormtroopers and a Baneblade. My Ork army consists of 60 Ork Boyz, 5 Nobs, 1 Warboss, 1 Big Mek and 3 Killa Kans. My new Eldar army consists of 10 Guardians, 5 Dire Avengers, a Farseer, a Warwalker and a Wave Serpent. I'm looking to be able to bring all these whenever I venture to my friends house. I use a car so the only real issue is actually having a place to put all these models. At the moment most of my Imperial Guard army resides in a big GW case and my Orks in a smaller one. But they've both outgrown their space, and with a new Eldar army coming along I really need to find a better set-up to transfer my models from A to B.

Are there any (relatively) cheap carry cases out there? I was looking at http://www.giftsforgeeks.org.uk/p/product/0904022404-Aluminium%20Double%20Size%20KR%20Multicase%20-%20Black/ but I'm not sure if it'll give me exactly what I need, and I'm hesitant to spend 60 quid on a case I may regret purchasing.

Cheers

I really like my army transport mk2 case. Other people have had good luck with battle foam. For the huge number of models you have, you are probably looking at fairly high expense if you want to have good quality cases.

For all the standard size figures (100 guardsmen, ork boyz) I would recommend getting some pre-cut foam inserts from Battle Foam either for the Army Transport case or the battlefoam case. These will maximize your space.

The bigger vehicles can use either pre-cut foam or the "pick away" foam.

I recommend against any of GW's crappy over-priced cases.

With as many models as you have, you're looking at a couple of cases easy. Just remember, this might be one of those cases where you get what you pay for. If you want good protection of your models, you're going to pay a little bit more.

Army transport makes great cases, they even have on that is on wheels and is about the size of a suitcase callaed the Battalion. I love their cases but there foam is gak, Battlefoam is much nicer, so now I have an Army Transport case with Battlefoam foam.

If your looking for something cheaper, there are always EconoBox Figure Storage Boxes, but they are made from cardboard. Neil at the Warstore carries them.

QFT. I have a couple Sabol cases myself, and I'm starting to run out of space using the pluck and pick foam that they sell for them. I'm thinking about either getting some BF trays for my Sabol cases for my other games, and getting an actual BF case for my IG army.

Handgun carry case from any department or sport store. Runs about $10 and has two or so layers of foam

I second that! And if you really want to get a rifle case, costs about 30, but be careful where you carry it.

About 15 years ago at GenCon in Milwaukee I got harrased by some cops while walking around outside the convention center. They asked me what was in the case and I flippently answered "oh about 100 guns". They next hour was NOT fun.
