I was wondering if anyone has tried to wrap a figure in bandages, similar to a mummy with any good effect, and if so how did you do it? Im thinking that GS rolled out and cut into strips is probably the bast choice, but didnt know if anyone else had some ideas. Thanks.

Tissue dipped in PVA could work. They do that a lot for stowage on vehicles.

I did that with some of my players in my BB Khemri team. I used thin strips of green stuff. I rolled a long thin tube, then I pressed it between 2 sheets of wet plastic against the table to make it flat. The green stuff does not stick to the plastic when wet. Keep the green stuff wet and start rolling.

I saw someone use greenstuff to do it on a greater demon of tzeentch, it looked really good IMO. I'm going to try and find a pic of it now.

Nothing currently, got out of the hobby, maybe getting back in?

The easiest is by far tissue paper and elmers glue. Just fold the tissue paper in half, and water the elmers glue down about 60/40 (glue to water). Then cut your strips and just drag them through the glue. Apply and let dry. Id suggest crumbling up the paper first to give it more depth but its pretty easy and really fast once you get the hang on it.

Meh, why do it the easy and cheap way though?

Also, the less forgiving way, that'll probably come off if you odn't like it.

making flat strips of greenstuff is what I'd recommend - wrap in non-stick baking paper while flattening it, it does a great job of not sticking.

A couple of great ideas thanks. Ill probably try them both on different models, and see which I like the best.

BHG, If you ever find the pic of the greater deamon that would be really cool to see.

Thanks guys!

For doing it with green stuff, it would be easier to just wrap the model in a sleeve of green stuff and then score in lines for the edges of the bandages, rather than messing about with actually wrapping strips around it...

Would work, but I am trying to show a good deal of the model in the wrappings as well. So taking the time to wrap them might end up the easiest.
