I want to make some actually cool Chaos terminators. But, the chaos terminator set is,well, a piece of gak.

I was thinking about buying two sets of terminators. One set of CSM terminators, and then one of either the wolf guard, Terminator Combat squad, Grey knights or Regular Terminators.

I could do that, OR I could buy Five Chaos Terminator Lord sets! I'm not sure. I'd probably spend the same amount (roughly) if I bought either. I don't think most gamers would have a problem with that. It would be the same WYSIWYG-wise .

I plan on using either an entire unit of double lightning claws terminators or an entire standard unit (Powerfist and Bolter)

I'd get plenty of good bits either way. If I buy the five Lord kits, I can have sexy bits if I buy another CSM terminator set. Help?

What's your problem with the Chaos Terminator set? What makes it "a piece of gak" when it has the exact same pieces as the Space Marine Terminator set with Chaos stuff added to it? It's a fine kit. Grab it and some Terminator Lords and have some fun. Mixing the bits never looks good, as there are all kinds of aesthetic touches that don't mesh.

Because even though it has all of the mandatory stuff, it lacks ANY lightning claws. Not only only that, it has only 2 powerfists, and most people like using them on every model, not just two out of five
