They are cool, I'll grant you. But too much $$ and I hate working with GOOD resin, much less the crappy quality Forgeworld resin.

It's 58 pounds for 4. That's about $90 US right now. Or, less than the price of 4 buggies, about the price of 6 plastic warbikes.

They look like they'll be some of the easier FW kits to assemble, too.

Mine arrived this weekend. They are fantastic models, and perfectly cast, despite the complex shapes involved. No breakages either. I suspect the quality will deteriorate as the moulds wear out, so picking them up early seems sensible. Here's the happy owner of a pile of new FW resin bits:

AND CAT! Good point on picking them up early though. Does FW have a bad rep for breaks/bad edges?

My experience with smaller items, like the Ork vehicle weapons they did some time ago, was a high proportion of miscasts and bodged detail. Most of the Marine extra armour and chapter panels I've bought have been warped and/or uneven. This was partly poor quality control and partly the fact that they use low grade resin mixed with grey paint. The Ork stuff I've bought recently (starting with the Grot krew set) has been a massive improvement, with really crisp detail and no misalignment. A couple of them were broken, however (due to being put in a box with IA-8). This time around everything was pristine.
