In your opinion what do you think is the best, I myself don't really like any of them but the storm trooper and even he is too pricey for his role.

Marbo, Marbo, Marbo. It's like a Callidus and Eversor assassin made sweet, cocaine enhanced love (with a touch of polymorphene kinkyness on the side), and Marbo was the product of that beautiful endeavour.
Seriously, wherever he pops up, SOMETHING is going to explode.

The Imperial Guard takes up a force slot in Marbo's army.

I'm not like them, but I can pretend.
Observations on complex unit wound allocation: If you're feeling screwed, your opponent is probably doing it right. |

I must say, marbo one and only.
I have fielded storm troopers, and sure, if their lasguns were str 4, theyd be worth every penny, but they seriously suck atm.
Ogryns also suck, dont use them.
Psyker battle squads are ok, but situational. If you cant break the enemy, you cant make them take that epic LD test, and you have to have a use, making chaos marines run 2d6 away isnt worth taking a PBS.
Ratlings are solid and useful, Id take them if I had the models over a veteran squad any day.

PBS is usually my staple.
I'm going to be trying Ogryns for a different flavour - gene bulked warriors for an Ad Mech thingy I'm working on - they may not eb that competitive but I like trying to mix things ups.
Ratlings have never worked well for me ans I choose vets over stormtroopers any day.

I love my Stormtroopers. Other things do their job better for the points, but they're just so cool I can't turn them down. Ratlings are fantastic at killing monstrous creatures, but everything else is pretty meh. Take them if you're fighting Tyranids, definitely. Psyker Battle Squads are downright dirty. Knocking a squad down to leadership 2 and then chasing it off the table is one of the meanest things I can picture. I had a kitted out nob squad run off the table because of them. Ogryn are just silly, but with Straken and a Lord Commissar could be pretty good.
