Hey guys,

I was wondering how you did turn sequences in large games. Some friends and I will be playing a 2v2 game and some questions have come up, let team one go then team two, or let one person from team one and team two go, then the other two go etc... what usually works best?

In my group if its a team, each team has a turn, it tends to speed things up a bit.

In my games when playing 2vs2 we normally use a turn sequence where myself and my ally will move all our forces together, then do shooting together, and assaults together too.

I see no reason why two allys would have to wait while the other did all their moving first before doing theirs as technically being allies would entail they are covering each other and planning combined tactics that simply wouldn't work as well if you made them act seperately

Say Team 1 is players A and B, and Team 2 is players C and D.

The first thing my buddies and I tried was A, B, C, D. That felt a little unbalanced, since the team who moved second would have a serious disadvantage - we'd already moved and shot, they might be missing quite a few models. However, this still mimicks most closely a 1v1 game.

The second thing we tried was A, C, B, D. This seemed to even it out a little in terms of first-turn advantage, but it's a little less realistic.

So what you got to ask yourself is: do you want a realistic battle or do you want a battle that's more game-like but more fair to both teams?
