Subject: fire arc of Typhoon missile launcher.

My land speeders don't have there base's attached as they break to easily, I use a sightly thicker rod that just sits in a sightly bigger hole.
So my land speeders can be removed from there base for easy transport.
SO... once my land speeder suffers a immobilized result (and wasn't going Flat out)
I remove the base (Pg71 BRB Shooting at skimmers) and place the model on the ground (tabletop)
1. What if its above difficult/dangerous terrain? test for entering?
2 whats the fire arcs of the typhoon missiles?
Pg 59 tells us that Refer to the Vehicle's entry where each weapon has been classified as either
Turret-mounted,hull-mounted, sponson-mounted, pintle-mounted...
I think Sponson but this still leaves the fire arc question? 45' 90' ????

What does it look like it is mounted? I would say Hull Mounted tbh. The problem is Page 59 says one thing, then GW decided not to define weapon mountings in the codex.

i would say a 45 degree line running from the missiles mountings outer edges.
If you can logically see a missile hitting the target then it would be a valid target(IE: the missile shouldn't make more then a 45 degree turn when it exits the weapon mount)

Yes I can see how they could be hull mounted, Makes for very limited fire arcs when Immobilized. but them's the breaks
So would it be "modeling for advantage" if you were to glue them to the base? ( this is a joke, as the BRB covers this, and it's ok )

Well, if you keep your Typhoons where their supposed to be(at or near your back board edge) the limited arc shouldn't be a huge issue.

TBPH, I feel all typhoon missiles are treated like hunterkiller missiles.
they always have 360 degree firing range

Here is another related question: From which missile pod do you check the LOS/ arc of fire? There are 2 of them for the single weapon profile. This issue has come up a couple times for me, and I don't see any rules that cover a weapon with 2 distinct points that it fires from.
For instance, can it still fire if only 1 of the missile pods can trace LOS?

if either has LOS i would say you fire it normally.
nowhere in the Rule book does it say that you split a weapons shots.

Skimmers can not be "above" difficult/dangerous terrain. You would make this test at the end of it's move.
