First of all i haven't been on for a while so hello again everyone!

Now a WHFB has been confirmed for September (pre-order August), the lateness of the release date of which im a bit annoyed at, as i much prefer the little rulebooks to the large ones. I'm just wondering it anyone has heard any rumors (or even confirmed info) about what'll be in it. E.g. what armies? and will it be a straight army vs army one like skull pass or more scenario based like the battle for maccarage was?

Anything would be of help, or, if there's another thread on this (i scanned the first page, there was nothing) a link to it.

The link points you to a solitary specuative post that says that its High Elves turn, probably.

It may well be High Elves vs Skaven, but we have nothing to indicate that it is at this time.

Well, i'll presume it's that but won't be too surprised if it's diferent.

Hopefully it might be DE vs HE, much more significant, two bitter rivals and all that.... Do good for my DE army, needs a bit of a boost tbh...

I can confirm that it IS High Elves & Skaven, and will be released in September.

I herd it will have miniatures and templates and a lil rule book and that the miniatures are totally awesome and sweet and that everyone should buy it.

I also herd that the miniatures are totally awesome and sweet but there aren't enough of them in the box to really play so you'll have to buy more and more and more and more but that's ok because all the miniatures are totally awesome and sweet so everyone will want to buy them.

There will be miniatures and stuffs, there will not be enough...you will have to spend more money.

Except the fact that GW sent out an email touting the release of the box set and in that email they included a picture of two armies fighting, and those two armies were High Elves and Skaven, on top of months long rumors from others at Warseer, etc. that it will be HE vs S. Is there a precedent that shows that GW has promoted the release of a box set before and decided to use different armies from the ones in the promotional photo?
