Who out there is *not* embarassed to say they play Dark Angels? And they kick some a** with the Unforgiven?

I play DA and have done so for the last 10 years. They are still competitive no matter what others say.

I play a Deathwing and am working on the 5th Company

I play against a Deathwing guy all the time. I used to use Dark Angels battle company, but once the new Marine codex came out, I realized I wasn't that much of a masochist.

One of my tourney lists is a DA one w/ no RW and no DW. Have done very well with them.

Battle Brothers! I'm proud to say that I'm not just a Dark Angel player, but a self proclaimed member of the Deathwing and Inner Circle. (I got me a Crux Terminatus tattooed on my left shoulder with a Dark Angel badge in the middle of the skull)

We're competitive regardless of what folks will say. It's up to the general, not the codex that will make or break your game. Flexibility, durability, and sheer awesomeness are all adjectives I use to describe my Unforgiven.

I don't care if DA are competitive or not - just the thought of fielding 36 Terminators at 1750 points lightens up my day!
Especially with some luck on the deathwing-assault they'll be up for some surprises and i'm sure some of my enemies in the tourneys will be getting a serious amount of whopass dealt to them *harrharr*

I only have a small force (1kish points) but I'm proud to say Asmodai (though he has no rules so he's really just an interrogator chaplain) and Ezekiel are still kicking ass (at least against nids & tau, think I'd struggle with guard)

Someday, I want to collect all 9 Deathwing Squads, field them with Belial and a Interrogator-Chaplain in terminator armor, and hit the field running with 47 terminators on the field! with a basic loadout, it adds up to 2210 points, add a Land Raider for a tiny bit of fire support and that is suicide waiting to happen, but fun!!!

DA = Closet Cultists

Think about it, they attack all who know anything about their chapter, constantly hunting down "fallen angels" its all a lie! Hopefully you guys will at least get some daemon units in the next codex.

Definitely proud to be a Dark Angels player. Awesome look, awesome lore, and while our codex may not be the best out their it's only marginally inferior to the space marine codex and definitely NOT among the worst out there.

Field about 1250 points with Sammael, plain DA, no Ravenwing or Deathwing, and they've never let me down.

Yeah I know what you mean, I played this guy's Space Wolves, he was so confident that his newer Codex was superior. His hubris let him down however, and I tabled him with minimal losses.

I play about 2k of DA, and today I played my IG friend who has just recently switched over to Vanilla SM. I took Ezekiel and Azrael and walked through 2 full tactical squads and a chainfist wielding Terminator squad using a Dread with a heavy flamer and Ezekiel. Who says we can't be competitive?

I am a big Dark Angel fan easily my favorite out of all the chapters ! But i have trouble staying competitive with him im constantly getting rolled by my friends orks so i have started focusing IG but any help would be nice .

I play DW and RW at 2000pts. I got a chance to play against another DW player a couple weeks ago at 1500 pts and I passed and let my daughter and her Eldar play. He played Beliel and I-Chappy, 4 DW squads and a LR. He was crippled in round 1 with 50% loss from shooting. I would not play DW without some way to deliver them and deepstriking without a teleport homer is not the best option. That beig said I would not mind trying 2 goddhammer and 1 crusader LR with 3 HF/MM speeders for 2000 pts.

DA ftw! so it's seems i skip 2 update of WH40k, how is the DA in the 5th?

I play Ravenwing 1500 pts to 2000 pts. I do hope to have a deathwing but it's quite expensive money wise.
