This is a wargame.
If you think that that sort of conversion fits the theme, you can pull it off and the bounds of societal norms for good taste are not thrown out the window, then go bananas.

Unless your facing a steriotypical red-necked, bible-thumping Southern-American who believes that the events of the "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare" games are based on events which have happened, they yes you may have a little, tinny-whinny problem.

Other then that I don't see the trouble in making something like that. Actually, I'd think it would look pretty sweet.

No more offensive than a Vostroyan doing it (I really don't like the "russian" themed armies.)

Besides, if they're warriors of harad (lotr scale) they're kids attacking troopers - and that generally gets your village curbstomped in return (as lotr minis are a lot smaller than 40k ones).

Nah, it is an ork. Pretty primal with a bit of luck in machines. If people do it in GoW, why can't you do it on 40k?
