Subject: Difference between the old metal dreadnaughts and the new plastic ones

After returning to Warhammer40k after a 10 year absence, i noticed the new plastic terminators are bulkier then the older ones and even the metal ones. Are the plastic dreadnaughts bigger then the older metal ones as well? (the older dreads in my army look puny next to the new terminators) does anyone have a side by side comparison?

The plastic Dreadnoughts are roughly the same size as the old MKII metal ones. I still have an original metal one in my army...no difference really.

There's a slight size difference, but not enough to be hugely noticeable.

The blocky style metal dread is the same size as the plastic replacement (it just weighs about 50x more and has a more satisfying heft in a sock).
I've got 3 of them now - I've picked them up for less than the plastics and with a little work, the plastic arms fit fine. Even have the metal multi-melta arm.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

The New Miss Macross!

the only difference is the weight. newer players were shocked when they picked up my metal dread and landspeeders from 2nd edition. you could see their hands dip down as they weren't expecting the weight!

Ah yes I agree that the metal dread's heft is great... great for changing my opponents argument to my side when I club him into submission!
