Do your Tac squads have any heavy weapons? And does your first squad have a light weapon? And I'm not so much of a fan of las+las, I recently turned to AC + las sponsons for the Pred Also, what's the loadout on the Venerable Dreadnought? Fast attack looks okay, I'd prefer assault marines but that's just personal preference

Instead of a power sword, I'd add Relic Blade or Lightning Claw to the Cap't. There are lotsa high Toughness models out there. And a Power toy for the Champ.

You ought to edit out the Individual Points costs for some items. I would add in the free ML or MM.

A single HB speeder is a really over priced Heavy Bolter. A MM/ HF speeder is the most popular choice. Otherwise, why not double your speeder's fire power and have the 2nd HB on it? I ran them as such for a while, in squadron pairs. That's a 12 dice unit.

I'd give the Captain a Relic Blade, A storm bolter and Artificer armor if you can get the points.
That dread is gonna get eaten up, if it drops in alone, as will the vindi. I'd drop the pred, get another vindi and drop that HB speeder for something more deadly.

i'm of the opinion that a unit of 3x speeders with 2 heavy bolters each would make a mean killing machine, and at only 180 points, a bargain.

After the orbital strikes, Thunderhawk bombardments, Whirlwinds, Vindicators, fusion and starfire and finally Battle Brothers with flamers had finished cleansing the world of all the enemies of Man, we built a monastery in the center of the largest, most radioactive impact crater. We named the planet "Tranquility", for it was very quiet now.

Down grade the dread to a normal one and save some pts.
While the HB/HB speeder is ok I much prefer the Typhoon, you loose 4 HBs but gain 4 krak/frag missiles for the same cost.
Get some plasma guns on your command squad instead of the banner and champion.
Sinper scouts are bad, get combat blade scouts and a LSS instead. That way you can support your dropping dread as well.
Siege shields are a waste. Dozerblads will allow you to go trough terrain 35 times out of 36.

Your list still lacks cohesion. DPing 1 Dread on it's own is just throwing it away. Doubling up the Vindis is a good idea. Multimelta in a drop pod isn't great, you can't fire it the turn it arrives and the enemy will just move out of melta range. In general a Missile launcher is a better bet. MMs are better in rhinos for area denial. Bolter scouts are fail. Bs3 is your enemy. CC Scouts will tear through non-CC troops well, particularly if the LSS has a Heavy flamer (again mitigating the Bs3). Give them a power fist and they can wreck opponents tanks. Remember with the 24" scout move you have a 45" first turn charge range which should get you to pretty much anything on the table. Hitting that vehicle on turn 1 meaning it won't have moved for 3 auto-hitting powerfist attacks and 4 auto-hitting krak grenades will make a mess of almost any vehicle short of a Landraider! Sniper scouts are good for 1 thing and that is objective camping so go minimal and camocloaks if you take them and don't expect them to ever kill anything. Bolter scouts literally have no real plus point. The CC scouts in the LSS will also provide a distraction and support to your lone DPing dread. Though again I'd advise doubling up on him. Venerable dread is over priced for it's killing power. Command squad is over 300 points of not a lot. The Captain is a bit of a beat stick but hardly uder and the squad adds very little to him. They'll lose to most serious hordes and aren't a threat to any other serious assault unit. Only through the use of special weapons do they really become a threat. Follow Tedururs advice here. When building an army it is best to look at what you wantt the army to do as a whole and don't spend points on things that don't support that goal. Double up on all key units so you have a spare should the first unit get taken out early or if it just misses when you really need it to hit. It also doubles the threat and makes your opponents decisions harder. Try to ensure your army hits your opponent at the same time or in at most 2 waves. You don't want it trickling in, in nice bit sized chunks as he'll prioritise and annihilate each wave in turn.

right the idea with the command squad is that the razorback can give it cover y fire then the squad assaults hopefully meaning any swarms are reduced so they can deal with them while the banner gives me that extra wound and also keeps my men in check and i could do with an extra power weapon and ws and I'll drop the caps melta bombs and give them a flamer . I'll swap the tac's around while I'll give the scouts combat blades so they can help the tac and dread when they deep strike
