Hello again fellow Dakkadakkites. As many of you are aware of the new Dark Eldar codex is, hopefully, comming out in a couple months. So, because of this eventual release, I've decided to begin a small Dark Eldar force so that when the new codex does come out, all I'll have to do is add some new units and I'll be game-ready.

At the moment, I've got four units planned for this small force including the following:

-Archon & Incubi Bodyguard
-Two Squads of Warriors with Raider Transports
-A Squad of Wyches

Modelwise Dark Eldar are extremely limited (as most of the models in the range are either metal or "compact"), being very much a Third Edition army living in a Fifth Edition world. Also, with the redesign a year or so away you don't really have alot of kits to work with so, as a result, you need to be inventive if you want to have an army that stands out from the crowd (Do I smell smoke? ). Anyway back to the the army. So far, all I've done is the WIP Archon which can be seen below:

In my attempt to "update" the model alittle I've used parts from the Warhammer Dark Elf Cold One riders in combination with Dark Eldar Warrior parts and the head of an Eldar Guardian and Human skull to create a trophy rack. I've also elongated the model to make the Dark Eldar taller and more slender by lengthening the legs and torso, a simple conversion that I will apply to all the models in the army.

Hopefully more progress will follow in the near future. Until next time!

A little update for you all today. Yesterday night I put the finishing touchs on my first WIP Incubi bodyguard for my Dark Eldar Kabal. The Incubi has been made using a combination of Warhammer Dark Elf and Eldar Guardian bits to create a heavier more ornate look to the armour. I will also be adding more to the figure to create the Tormentor helm later on. The progress so far can be seen below:

I've also begun painting the Archon. Expect an update on the progress hopefully in the near future.

Just sticking his name on my pictures.

To save him time here's the finished Archon.

Karmine: Like I said before on your blog if you want me walk you through the process of making them then please feel free to contact me and I will do my best to help but just sticking your name on my pictures is a little daft.

There are no hard feelings on my part, it gave me a good laugh but just be more careful in future before taking credit for other people's stuff.

Very excellent work, Doghouse or Karmine, or Doghouse ???

Karmne. If these are indeed Doghouse's conversions now might be a good time to come clean?
Sorry to be a stickler for decency, but it is poor form to claim someone elses as one's own.

or are you two in cahoots or indeed the same person?
Dakka has a right to know

Theft of another persons work is pretty sad, and in my opinion breaks rule number 1 of being polite in a serious way.

=][= Formal warning, posting others work as your own is not going to be tolerated. This thread is being locked and a user case file is being created. Keep your nose clean. =][=
